This is an economic-development transformation story. Six government agencies with competing priorities were aligned around a shared agenda.
Challenge:
The State and main commercial City wanted to strengthen trade, investment and economic development through a unified public-private engagement platform. Previous summit efforts had struggled to gain traction, attracting fewer than 40 attendees and limited executive participation.
Action:
Working directly with six government departments, I facilitated stakeholder engagement, identified shared priorities and helped build a unified "One Voice" economic-development agenda. I developed the summit framework, secured senior government, corporate and non-profit participation, shaped the programme and introduced new audience-engagement methods, including real-time participation technology and visual event mapping.
Result Summary:
Increased participation from fewer than 40 attendees to more than 350 participants and Secured annual commitment from six government departments. subsequent summit funding was increased by up to 40%. Policy themes generated during the summit were advanced for long-term legislative consideration.
Key Outcome:
Turned an underperforming public-sector initiative into a multi-stakeholder economic-development platform that influenced future policy, investment engagement and regional collaboration
